I went with the Alnico 3 Neck and Alnico 2 Bridge combo for a 2004 Gibson Les Paul that had hung on the studio wall being a bit underplayed and neglected. The A3 sings for blues rock solo work and still cuts through a mix no problem. The A2 is bright and produces it all from a great crunch through to heavy metal distortion. At the other end of the spectrum using the A3 clean with the tone wound back and a hint of the A2 produces a great modern jazz tone. Needless to say the LP is back in rotation and is amongst the first choice for a lot of classic rock stuff. Oh,... and the nickel finish looks really great. Five stars from me.

I bought a PH-90 in Alnico 3 to replace the neck pickup in an Artist Black58 (cheap ES-335 copy) that I got half price, as the pickups/electrics were a bit dodgy. Of course the issue was bad soldering not the pickups, but after fitting this PH-90 the difference in sound and tone from the original pickup to this one is night and day.
This $250 guitar now sounds like a $1000+ equivilent (I own a Squire CV tele and Gibson LP studio for comparison). The sound is clear great balance between with a hint of chime which rolls of with the tone knob whilst still keeping it's clarity. Normally I don't touch the tone knob on my guitars as the sound just gets woolly, but with this pickup every position sounds amazing.
Picking dynamics really come through, even at low apartment volumes on a little 5 watt tube amp, with a real difference between soft picking and a touch of grit when digging in. Hum is really low (a lot less than my Tele) and the raw finish looks absolutly classic.
Now I need to decide between an Alnico 2 PH-90 or Underbucker for the bridge.

This pickup excels any expectation, neck A3. As a reviewer points out, it brings out the best of mi Ibanez AF75 w/ nyato neck very prone to
obscure the general tone. Nothing but compliments once installed and played in group setting, even with electric bass.
The tone is fluid and elegant and has a sort of liquid color very distinctive and versatile. Getting ready to order the bridge version on A5.

I have these installed in a telecaster that has had several pickup changes over the years. No matter what I had in there, I always felt like something was missing. These pickups with A3 magnets just opened the guitar right up. It’s like it can finally breath. Beautifully balanced, great clarity. If you want to bring some clarity to a dark sounding guitar, I can’t recommend them enough

Fabian has made a gold set with black faceplates, in ALNiCo III. Fitted to my custom made CNJewell guitar. An amazing set of pickups! Clean - Bridge is light and bright but not harsh; neck is warm and full; clear and not muddy even with tone down low. Mid setting - full range of tones. Very responsive to attack and picking. When over-driven - there's warm bite and crunch. These are very different from the standard P90s that Fabian makes. These PH90s suit my style and 'sound'. Once again, Fabian's care and attention to detail and quality are evident in these. This is my sixth set of pickups from him - I will not use any others on the guitars I build.
